This week I have made significant progress on the creation of my final project film and dissertation. I have completed my script including the types of shots I would like in each section. With the finished script which will be below I have set in stone the narrative of my film and how I would like convey the story to viewer. As discussed before the key premise is the introduction which I will use the alcohol prohibition in America as the leading example.

With this I have also been communicating with my producer Maria Sloan and we have decided to collaborate on each other documentaries, I will be acting as her cinematographer in her documentary "More than a pitch" which I will not be using as a submission in my final film submission but I will still be discussing it in my blogs as I believe it is key to my development as a filmmaker. We have set out goals and timelines for each documentary. The month of march, all filming will be done and I plan on filming three interviews on the topics of social impact, poverty and supervised injecting sites. I have also set the goal of creating a production folder and I have assigned Maria this responsibility, creating budget sheets etc.

I have also got into communication with my music composer Lovisa Orstadius and let her know that around mid April I will be giving her the outline of the music needed for the project and in practice I believe the final film might be finished a month earlier than originally schedules which will allow me for more time to work on my dissertation exclusively. With these advancements I am now ready to begin my production phase filming, sourcing footage etc.

As for my weekly meeting with my supervisor as I said last week I was unable to attend as I had to some filming at queens university for an organisation by the Museum of the Troubles and Peace which is a good opportunity for myself to get some real world filming experience to add to my portfolio for getting jobs after university which to me is equally as important to the university work itself.

Next week my aim is to continue finishing the bureaucratic side of the documentary, being call sheets and similar items, finding footage and contacting people for interviews.
