Documentary Filmmaker Based in Belfast
Hello. I'm Giovanni I grew up in Gweedore, Donegal. I'm Bast in Belfast as an Independent filmmaker pursuing phd studies. I have A BSc hons in Cinematic arts and an MA in film studies. Through University I have taken part in and directed a number of short films such as Volunteer (2024), Tír gan Teanga, Tír gan anam (2025) and Reclaiming lives: The next Step (2024)

Tír Gan Teanga Tír gan Anam
A 15 minute short film set in West Belfast. I, Giovanni Peresson grew up in the Gaeltacht and when I came to Belfast I lead this co-owned and co-directed with the project participants.
This project was part of my Ma Film studies final project. This films used co-ownership, ethnographic and particpiative methodolgies alongside research to expore the idea of auto-ethnograpgy through practice as research.
